CoStar Group, Inc released data for International Council of Shopping Centers and it suggests that there are more than 105,000 shopping centers in US. This growth has been upward and shows that consumer confidence is still intact despite last years of economic problems. There were some problems during 2009 but largely the growth has supported its normal path so far. These numbers means that more people have jobs now. And more properties are being leased by the center owners. It also means that more people are buying the quality products. The analysts point that there is more space available with in the industry to have more players. The level playing field is available to open more centers in small towns where people have fewer choices and online deliveries are not possible for many goods. The retail sector is the key element in the growth of a nation. The other fact is that most of the electronic and consumer goods are imported from outside US which puts the rest of the world in happy situation.
